As we head into tonight and tomorrow morning, another system will be pushing across Northeast Alabama and Northwest Georgia – and yes, there is the mention of “snow” – but no accumulations are being predicted.

Colder air will arrive overnight tonight and into Thursday morning and temperatures will start off in the 30’s and only reach the high 40’s by the end of the day.

Channel 12 Meteorologist Patrick Core says that while there is a chance for wintry weather with this approaching system.  The exact position of a low pressure system will determine just how far south of Chattanooga any frozen precipitation will make it.

Some sleet and snow may mix in the rain on Thursday morning, and then there is another chance for some wintery mix overnight Thursday into Friday morning.

Friday, temperatures will be colder with lows possible in the upper teens.
