A forty-nine-year-old Dalton woman was arrested for DUI by Summerville Police on New Year’s Day after failing a field sobriety test.

According to Summerville Police, Stephanie Dawn Fowler was stopped at on Rome Boulevard at Ingles parking lot a few minutes after midnight.  Officers say they observed the 2015 Hyundai she was driving being operated in an erratic manner.

Police charged Fowler for driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to maintain a single lane.
