LaFayette Police made a drug arrest this past week near a known homeless camp in the city.

While on patrol, an officer spotted a man walking along railroad tracks just North of Culberson Avenue and asked if he was walking to the homeless camp.

A consent search turned up a container with a substance that field-tested positive for meth… along with a plastic straw lined with residue.

Thirty-six-year-old Richard Allan Power was charged with possession of meth.
