Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters talked with AM 1180 about the upcoming public meeting scheduled for December 14 at the Chattooga County Civic Center concerning the future of the Chattooga County EMS.

The commissioner said that he has had people come up to him and ask him if the decision has been made to out-source the ambulance service, why have a public meeting?  Winters said that he has not made a decision about the proposals and wants to show the public all of the different options, including what it would cost for the county to continue to provide ambulance service and increase coverage.  Winters said that public imput in the decision making process is important.
