Summerville Police arrested a man after a traffic stop on Martin Street.  Police say that the man was in was not maintaining a single lane and an officer initiated a traffic stop.  While speaking with the driver and passenger, the officer noticed that the passenger couldn’t stay still.

After getting both subjects out of the vehicle, the officers obtained permission to search the vehicle.  The male passenger told officers that there was “dope under the passenger’s seat.”  In addition to finding drugs, the passenger handed the officer his cell phone and told the officer their was “dope talk” on the phone.  On the cell phone, officers read texts about trading drugs for a blue tooth speaker.

Police say that they found suspected marijuana and methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Forty-two-year-old Jackie Everett Jarrells was arrested for possession of drugs and drug related objects and booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
