A Chattooga County man says that his brother stole his sawmill and a “rusty camper” while he was gone to Kentucky.
On Tuesday of this week, the complainant met with a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputy on Highway 100 and said that his brother had taken the items while he was gone during December. When the complainant returned home last Saturday, he found out that his brother had taken a Harbor Freight Green Sawmill, valued at $2,500. The complainant was not able to provide a VIN number for the sawmill or the camper, but did tell the deputy that his brother had text him to tell him he was taking the items.
The complainant also told the deputy that he and his brother had been having an ongoing feud about property.
The incident has been turned over to an investigator.
