LaFayette Police made a drug bust following a traffic stop on South Chattanooga Street.  They observed the occupants were not wearing seat belts.

The passenger had an active arrest warrant from Walker County and was taken to jail. The driver, forty-four-year-old Julia Nichole Ridley of LaFayette, told officers she had meth in her purse.

A search turned up meth, smoking pipes and pills identified as xanax and gabapentin.

Ridley was charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute and possession of a schedule one controlled substance.
