Chattooga County and Northwest Georgia is waking up to some of the coldest temperatures of the winter season and a wind chill advisory remains in place until 1 PM this afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City, Georgia says that we won’t warm up much today.  Highs will only be in the mid 30’s.  Add in the gusty winds, and it could feel like it is in the teens for most of the day today.

The good news is, we are expecting a warming trend and by Sunday afternoon we will see highs in the low to mid 50’s.

After a sunny day on Monday with mild mid-winter temperatures, we will see our next chance for rain starting on Tuesday.
