Summerville Police were called to a Third Avenue residence this week after a complainant said his fence had been removed without his permission.

When officers arrived and spoke with Jamie Godwin, he told officers that while he was away in November his neighbor removed about 100 feet of fence.  Godwin told police that he had talked with the neighbor and she had agreed to put the fence back up, but as of this week, no effort has been made to reconstruct the fence.

The responding officer said in his report, that he could see a dog pen that had been built – apparently out of the Mr. Godwin’s fence – on the neighbor’s property.

Officers spoke with two workers on the scene who said that they would start putting the fence back up on Mr. Godwin’s side of the property that day.

Mr. Godwin requested that a report be on file with the Summerville Police Department concerning the incident.
