Cub Scout Pack 38 held its annual Pinewood Derby Saturday, Jan 29.  Competing in the derby were over 15 cars. Older scouts from the troop as well as parents and leaders entered into the open class to compete for bragging rights for the fastest car. 

The Scouts work with their parents and scout leaders to build miniature cars from a block of pinewood and official BSA wheels and axles hoping to have the fastest one in the pack. They can also use their creativity to win Best in Show, which is voted on by all participants who entered the race.

Winning the overall race was Jack Watkins with the fastest overall at 2.57 seconds as well as Best in Show.

Pack 38 Meets on Monday nights at 6 PM at the Summerville Rec.
