Update: Trion Mayor Lanny Thomas says that water has been restored after someone hit a 10″ line on Tuesday.  The water outage affected a large portion of Town of Trion Water Customers.  Trion Water Department workers were able to isolate the problem and restore water quickly.  The water line was located near the wrestling room at the former Triangle Shopping Center.

Trion Mayor Lanny Thomas says that about half of Trion’s water customers are without water this (Tuesday) afternoon after someone hit a main water line.  Thomas said that the incident happened near Trion City Schools.  The Trion Water Department is on the scene and hopes to have the water line repaired and water restored to affected residents by 7 PM.
