Summerville Police arrested two people as the result of a traffic stop at a road block on East Washington Street last week.
According to a report released Wednesday by the Summerville Police Department, officers stopped a red Ford Focus and asked the female driver for her license. Officers said that when the woman rolled down the window, there was strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
After a consent to search, officers found THC wax and a straw containing suspected hydrocodone residue inside an unmarked prescription pill bottle.
The driver, identified as thirty-year-old Chassity Marie Fowler said that the straw that appeared to have been used to ingest the hydrocodone was hers and the passenger, thirty-year-old Jordan Kyle Fowler said that the THC wax was his.
The couple were arrested for drug possession charges and taken to the Chattooga County Jail.
