The 14th Congressional District race in Northwest Georgia will undoubtedly draw national attention and there are already several Republicans and Democrats seeking their party’s nomination for the seat. But there is also a Libertarian Candidate who has already secured her party’s nomination and is looking to get on the ballot in November.
Angela Pence is a Rossville, Georgia native. Pence attended school at Gordon Lee in Chickamauga and Lakeview in Fort Oglethorpe. After moving away from the area for a time, she returned to Northwest Georgia in 2015.
Pence says, “There are many things that have pushed me to run for office. I truly feel that I can represent the 14th district with dignity and grace. I am a firm believer in fighting until there is no fight left for the freedom that our district, state and country deserves. I have never backed out of a fight that was worth fighting, and as your representative, I would always fight for what the people thought was best and the freedom that we all deserve.”
Georgia law requires third-party and independent candidates for the U.S. House to get signatures from at least 5% of the registered voters in their district to be put on the ballot for the November 8th general election.
Pence is now working to gain the signatures she needs to be an option for Northwest Georgia voters in November.
