Authorities in neighboring DeKalb County, Alabama have arrested a Valley Head man and charged him with sexual abuse of a child after they say the thirty-seven-year-old had inappropriate contact with a minor.

DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Weldon says that Dustin Lewayne Elkins had sexually abused an underage female and had sexually harassed the juvenile via cell phone.

Sheriff Weldon said, “Any and all kinds of abuse against our children will not be tolerated.  Our children deserve to be protected and loved and we are committed to doing just that, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
