The Walker County Board of Commissioners approved calling a vote to renew the TSPLOST transportation sales tax for another 5-year run.

The present penny sales tax for road improvements is maxing-out early… estimated to reach 25-million dollars this August.

Walker County voters will see the question of renewing the sales tax for transportation projects on the May 24th ballot.

Cities in Walker County will each get a share for local paving projects.
