A forty-four-year-old Chattooga County man has been charged with vehicular homicide in neighboring Walker County in connection with a deadly crash last September.

Larry Brian Cargle is facing the charges after an investigation revealed that he failed to yield the right of way an caused an accident at the intersection of  Highway 27 and Highway 337 on September 11, 2021.

That wreck resulted in the death of twenty-year-old Eden Jeanneane Muina. Muina was the 2020 Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School Valedictorian and a member of the 2019 and 2020 LFO High School Academic Decathlon State Champions.  She was attending Berry College on a scholarship.

Cargle has been charged with homicide by vehicle 2nd degree, and failure to yield.
