Mold and a leaking roof have been plaguing the Trion Police Department for sometime.  The department is currently housed adjacent to Trion Town Hall, but that will be changing in the near future.

Last year, the Town of Trion and Trion City Schools worked out a plan to build a new police station on the hill at Trion City Schools.  The new station will be where the old bus barn was located.

The plans for the new building are being finalized and construction is expected to get underway soon.

Under the agreement between the Town of Trion and Trion Schools, the town will pay $150,000 towards the cost of the facility and if the cost exceeds $150,000 the school system will pay the balance.
