UGA Head Coach Kirby Smart says that Searles will be returning for a second time in his coaching career and will be the Bulldog’s offensive line coach.   Searles coached at UGA for four years when Mark Richt was head coach, between 2007-2010.

During his coaching career, Searles ahs helped produce twenty-five NFL linemen.  He spent four seasons at LSU, and was their in 2005 when they won a national title.  Since then Searles has coached in Texas, Virginia Tech and North Carolina.

The Trion native was an All-American as a 6-foot-6, 270-pound Auburn senior tackle in 1987.
