According to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, several animals were confiscated from a Taliaferro Springs Road residence earlier this month due to neglect.

The plight of the animals came to light during what the sheriff’s department described as a “law enforcement issue” at the residence in which deputies were on the scene for approximately sixteen hours.

A dog was tied up outside the residence without any food or water or shelter.  Also, there were several birds inside the house and several cats that were not being properly cared for.  The animals were retrieve by Chattooga County Animal Control the next day.

According to the report Christie Hubbard told deputies that they should take the birds because her husband was “going to be in jail for a while.”
