Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley will host its second annual Hammer it Home for Habitat 5K and health walk on Saturday, April 30.

The course will follow the Heritage Trail System along the Oostanaula River and through Ridge Ferry Park, starting and finishing at the Rome Braves Stadium. The 5K starts at 9 a.m. and the 2 mile health walk at 9:30 a.m.

Participants can register online at habitatcoosavalley.org or at the ReStore, located at 504 East First Ave.

Thanks to our generous sponsors and participants last year we exceeded our goal of raising $10,000 and it is our hope the community comes out again this year to do the same,” said executive director Betsy Allgood. “All the proceeds raised from Hammer it Home will stay right here in our community to help build homes for two very deserving families.”

Habitat for Humanity Coosa Valley Chapter serves Polk, Floyd and Chattooga Counties in Northwest Georgia.
