An Atlanta man was arrested in Summerville on Sunday after he reportedly refused to leave the Citgo Gas Station at 11161 Highway 27.

Summerville Police say that sixty-six-year-old Halbert Robinson was inside the gas station in an intoxicated state.  According to the police report from the Summerville Police Department Robinson, “sat down on his butt in the Citgo gas station and remained their for an amount of time until removed by officers.”

Police say that before they arrived Robinson was staggering around and sitting on the floor near the cash registers.

Robinson admitted to police that he had consumed “a large amount of alcohol”.

Robinson was charged with public intoxication and loitering and prowling and was arrested around 8 PM and booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
