Summerville Police arrested a Lyerly woman on drug charges after a traffic stop according to a report released this week. The arrest happened last month when an officer observed a vehicle driving in an erratic manner on Lyerly Street.
The officer spoke with the driver, identified as fifty-nine-year-old Tammy Carol Lea, and told her that he was concerned about her driving. The officer then asked Lea if he could search the vehicle. After a consent to search, officers found several illegal and prescription drugs inside the vehicle.
Lea was charged with multiple drug charges, including possession of barbiturates and drugs not kept in original container.
Lea was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
