A vehicle owner was stopped by LaFayette Police Monday on North Chattanooga Street, because the Honda had no tag.

Officers saw a torch-lighter in the car… but were denied a consent search.

32 year old Amanda Renee Schrimpsher of LaFayette told officers she was on probatio and her DCS officer was called to the scene. He obtained permission to search the vehicle.

They found two used syringes and cotton that tested positive for meth… and the subject was taken to jail on a possession charge.
