It has been a long time since a Congressional race in Northwest Georgia has drawn as much competition as the upcoming race to decide who will represent the 14th Congressional District.
Five Republicans are seeking to unseat controversial U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. There are three Democrats running for the seat and one Libertarian. Greene has come under fire from Democrats, and sometimes conservative Republicans for a wide-range of issues and comments that she has made over the past two years.
Yet, polls show that Republican voters strongly favor Greene to continue to represent them in Congress. Polls also show that Greene has the highest name recognition in the field of ten candidates.
To date, Greene has been the only congressional candidate running radio ads in Chattooga County.
Republican and Democratic voters will decide their candidates on May 24th. The winner of those primaries will be facing Libertarian candidate Angela Pence in November.
