A Summerville Police officer responded to a domestic disturbance near Cherokee and Elm on April 13th.  When the officer arrived on the scene, he found a woman screaming at a man saying “how could you cheat on me?”

While infidelity might have been part of the issue that caused the domestic incident, the officer soon learned that the main reason the woman was mad at her significant other was that she believed he had consumed all of her methamphetamine.

The woman continued to yell and curse and the officer placed her under arrest for disturbing the peace.  At that point the suspect laid down on the road and began to cry saying she didn’t want to go to jail.  The officer warned her that she would be charged with obstruction if she didn’t get in the patrol car.

Thirty-eight-year-old Alic1a Gray was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
