Chattooga County 4-H competed in the Area Poultry Judging contest on Tuesday, April 26 hosted in Gordon County with 103 youth in attendance and 17 teams.

In this contest, youth had to judge past production hens, exterior and interior egg qualities, parts id, and provide reasons for the high production hens, along with other areas of working with Poultry.

For Juniors (4th-8th graders), Chattooga County placed 2nd, with two youth in the top 10 for individual scores:

The Senior Team will be traveling to Oglethorpe County to compete in the State Poultry Judging Competition as they placed 1st in the Area Competition. Members of the Senior Team consist of Levi Adams, Lane Bridges, Callie Brown, Julia Hogan, Lydia Pence, and Tory Ward. Members progressing to State are Lane Bridges, Julia Hogan, Callie Brown and Lydia Pence!
