Advanced voting starts tomorrow for voters in Chattooga County for the May 24 Primary Elections.

Voters should remember to bring a picture ID when they come to vote.  Also, you need to remember that this a Primary Election – that means you must select either a Democratic ballot, a Republican ballot or a non-partisan ballot when you go to vote.  Voters should note, that the non-partisan ballot will not have any candidates listed for the local school board race.  In fact, the only contested races for the local school board will be found on the Republican ballot.

For the Lyerly seat, N. Terry “Popz” Henderson will be facing off against Bonnie Fletcher in the GOP Primary.  Also, Lori Brady and Steve Groves will be vying for the Republican nomination for the Menlo seat on the county board of education.  The winner of that race will face off with Democratic incumbent Lynn Hall, who has no opposition in the Democratic Primary.

May 2 – 6: 8:30 am – 5 pm
May 7: 9 am – 5 pm
May 9 – 13: 8:30 am – 5 pm
May 14: 9 am – 5 pm
May 16 – 20: 80:30 am – 5 pm
Advance Voting will take place in the Registrars Office located at 10017 Commerce Street in Summerville. Voters will complete their paperwork in the front lobby and vote in the back room.
Masks are optional.
The last day to request an Absentee by Mail ballot is May 13, 2022.  As of this morning, we have issued 30 Absentee by Mail Ballots.  On the request, the voter must include his/her Georgia Driver’s License or State Issued ID Number.  If the voter does not have one, then the voter must include a copy of his/her identification.  The list of acceptable identification is on the back of the request form.
