Georgia’s Fourteenth Congressional District Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was campaigning in Trion this week as she made a tour that started in Chattooga County and wrapped up in Ringgold on Monday.

The congresswoman is facing multiple opponents in the Republican Primary that is scheduled for May 24th.

Greene spoke with Mount Vernon Mills officials and workers and toured the facility in Trion.  Greene told reporters, “What is more American than blue jean?”

The congresswoman also stopped by the Trion Fire Department

Mount Vernon Mills in Trion is the largest manufacturer of blue jean material in the United States.

When asked by a reporter how she feels about the upcoming Primary Election, Greene said, ““I feel very confident that I’m going to win my reelection. Our polling has been strong. I have over 70, I think it’s like 71% in my polling, so that’s one I haven’t even thought about.”
