The theft of a stolen dog is being investigated by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a report released last week by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, on May 9th, a Chattooga Avenue, Summerville woman told a responding deputy that someone had taken a pit bulldog  from her backyard.

The complainant told the deputy that someone had approached her and her husband earlier about buying the dog.  The woman identified the suspect to the deputy and said that she and her husband had told the man that their dog was not for sale.  The complainant said that the suspect told her he would just come and take the dog if the couple was not willing to sell the pit bull.

Later that day, around noon, the dog turned up missing.

The dog is described as being a fawn color with a white chest and goes by the name “Camilla”.

The incident is under investigation.
