A 21-year-old Rome man was in jail late Dec. 20 after his arrest on warrants charging him with attacking a woman with a knife and a gun, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and jail records:

Cody Leshayne North, of 5 Hickory Mountain Road, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor count of reckless conduct.

North is accused of entering a woman’s home one day last week and hitting and choking her, while also threatening her with a knife and gun.

During the altercation the handgun was fired at least twice.

North was arrested the afternoon Dec. 20.
