
Yesterday, WZQZ News told you about a Summerville man who was arrested after assaulting another man with a baseball bat. A man in Rome has now been charged with assaulting another with a baseball bat as well.
Forty-four-year-old James John Duncan was arrested by Floyd County Police for the assault that is said to have taken place on May 4th on Morrison Campground Road.
According to the warrant that was issued, Duncan struck the victim twice with the bat, causing swelling and a laceration to the man’s forehead.
Duncan is also accused of giving a false name to officers who were attempting to arrest him on the felony warrant.
