This week, the Summerville Police Department released a report about a knife attack on Hawkins Drive in Summerville that took place on May 14th.

According to the report released by the police department, an officer was dispatched after a call from a person in distress.  When police arrived on the scene, they found fifty-one-year-old Jessie Eugene Wise in the carport area of a residence.  Officers said that Wise told them in descriptive language that he had messed up.  When officers entered the residence they found a victim stabbed and large amounts of blood inside the house.

Police said that they had been called to a domestic dispute at the residence earlier in the day.  The victim was the assailant’s mother according to the report.

Wise was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
