Rome Police have released the name of the pedestrian that was struck and killed by an oncoming vehicle on Monday morning on Turner McCall Boulevard.

Police say that forty-year-old Cedric Floyd was attempting to cross from the east side of Turner McCall to the opposite side of the road when he walked into the path of a Ford F-250 pickup truck.  The truck struck Floyd who was pinned under the vehicle and died.

The driver of the truck was not identified by Rome Police, but was also taken to the hospital to be examined, according to reports.
