When the Walker County Commission meets tomorrow evening, one of the items on the agenda is a consideration to allow voters in Walker County to vote on a liquor referendum to allow package liquor sales in the county.
The measure would require a “fifty percent plus one” vote for permits to be issued for packaged liquor sales in the county.
According to the resolution to be considered, the ballot question would read: “Shall the issuance of licenses for the package sale of distilled spirits within the unincorporated limits of Walker County be approved?”
The Walker County Commission will be meeting at 7 PM on Thursday evening at the Walker County Courthouse Annex 3.
