A man cheated a towing company out of payment this week according to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

Gary Rape with Gary’s Towing, called deputies after a man came and picked up his automobile from the towing service’s lot.  Mr. Rape said that the man paid his bill with a credit card, but after he left the towing company’s lot with his car, the man canceled the credit card payment.

The sheriff’s department identified the suspect as Justin Gardner who had been arrested for public intoxication and obstruction of officers and had his car towed by Gary’s Towing.
