A former Walker County Deputy who was accused of rape has been released on bond.

Eighty-one-year-old Jerry Glover of Rock Spring, Georgia appeared before Superior Court Judge Ralph Van Pelt this week for a bond hearing.  Glover’s accuser was present at the bond hearing that was held on Wednesday.

A friend of Glover’s posted the $100,000 property bond.

Glover was arrested on June 1st and charged with raping a woman while on duty and in uniform.  The GBI investigated the allegations.

Glover was serving as a courthouse deputy at the time of the allegations.
