Earlier this week, a Trion man was charged with shoplifting at Walmart in Trion after he allegedly skip-scanned several items and then grabbed a bag of ice and proceeded to walk out the door without paying.  A Walmart employee stopped the man after he was seen skip-scanning some bratwurst sausages and grabbing the ice from the cooler at the front of the store.  When a deputy arrived on the scene, the deputy saw video footage of the incident. Sixty-two-year-old James Brad Kay was transported to the Chattooga County Jail on shoplifting charges.
