Floyd County Police arrested a couple this week after an officer observed a man running a stop sign.
Scott Timothy Watson, 58, and Deborah Lynn Watson, 61, were arrested at their home on Callier Springs Road on numerous drug charges after the alleged traffic violation.
Police stated that Scott ran a stop sign before finally pulling over at his home.
Police said that they saw an opened container of alcohol in the vehicle. A search of the car was then done, in the process leading officers to find over 28 grams of methamphetamine and Oxycodone that was not in their original container.
A search warrant was then sought for their home. Police said that a search of the home then resulted in police finding heroin, a digital scale, and a smoking device containing meth residue.
Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession of drug related objects, and manufacturing/distributing a controlled substance.
Scott is also charged with open container violation, drugs not in original container, unlawful possession/distribution of a non-controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, trafficking methamphetamine and a stop sign violation.
