A Sprayberry Hill, Summerville woman reported the theft of an ATV on Saturday of last week.  The complainant told the responding deputy that the green Polaris 500 had belonged to her deceased fiancee.  The deputy checked the property for recent signs of the ATV, but couldn’t find any clues.  The complainant told the deputy that she would get the VIN number and paperwork to help identify the ATV.  Later, the woman forwarded photos and more information to the deputy who entered the information in the statewide crime database.  Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader shared a picture of the four-wheeler on social media and said: “This four-wheeler was stolen from a man here in the county that just passed away. Possibly stolen while he was in the hospital, any info greatly appreciated and can be confidential.” The incident remains under investigation.
