Yesterday, WZQZ News reported on an incident report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office that was released this week about an incident that happened last weekend concerning a teenager that was taken to jail for assault. We were not aware, nor was there any indication in the report from the sheriff’s office that the teenager in question was Autistic. Still, WZQZ would like to apologize to the family and have deleted the article from our website and social media. While all incident reports are public record, WZQZ will reach out the the sheriff’s office in an effort to make sure there are more facts presented in public reports of this nature.
