Chattooga County teachers are back in the classroom today and will be getting ready for the first day of school, which is this Friday, July 29th.

The Chattooga County School System is returning to a four-day schedule this year and the school year calendar began on July 1st with the new four-day schedule.  Students will be going to class Tuesdays-Fridays.   All elementary schools in the county and the middle school will begin their school day at 8:00 AM and Chattooga High School will begin the day at 7:45 AM.

School buildings will not be open before 7 AM.

Your student’s school bus will be running at the same time in the morning as it did last year, and will be arriving in the afternoon thirty minutes later, due to the new four-day schedule.
