LaFayette Police arrested a Chattooga County man over the weekend on DUI charges.
WQCH in LaFayette reports that thirty-two-year-old Thomas Black Allred of Summerville caused an accident on South Chattanooga Street at McLemore, when his vehicle left lane of travel and ran into a semi-truck. Medics at the scene said Allred appeared to be under the influence of an opiate.
He was charged with DUI-drugs, failure to maintain lane and driving a vehicle with cancelled registration.
