Chattooga County Public Works crews will have their work cut out for them today as they begin the process of cleaning roadways in the county.  Commissioner Jason Winters told AM 1180 on Sunday evening that crews would be concentrating on the major roadways first, and that it would take some time to get roads in condition to travell. 

Public Works Director Lamar Canada said that crews would be in early this morning to begin the process of cleaning roadways.  The biggest question is just how much snow will fall and then later today there is the possibility for some ice which could further cripple road cleaning efforts.

Chattooga County law enforcement and EMA is urging Chattooga County residents to stay off the roadways – travell will be treacherous throughout the day on Monday and into Tuesday morning.

Chattooga County Remote Dumpster Sites will be closed today, according to Public Works Director Lamar Canada.
