For the second week in a row, the number of COVID-19 cases in Chattooga County has declined.  According to the latest numbers from the Georgia Department of Public Health that were released on Wednesday of this week, there were thirty-five case reported over the past week.

Earlier this year, the Georgia Department of Public Health began reporting COVID-19 numbers weekly instead of daily as they had done at the beginning of the pandemic.   The new numbers are released each Wednesday.

The previous week Chattooga County had reported forty-five cases of COVID-19.

There were four COVID-19 deaths reported over the last week in the Northwest Georgia Region.  Two of those were in Floyd County; one was in Bartow County and one in Chattooga County.
