The second day of the 2022 Chattooga County Agricultural Fair gets underway when the gates open at 5 PM this evening.  Today, all military veterans and active military personnel will get a free gate admission with a valid ID.

The fair is once again featuring a midway provided by Peachtree Rides.  Ride armbands are $25 each and allow for unlimited rides throughout the evening.  Peachtree Rides is a Georgia-based company that has been in business since 1972 and provides up-to-date rides for fair-goers of all ages.  In addition to fair favorites like the Ferris wheel and thrilling rides for older kids and kids at heart, there is also a good number of rides for smaller fair goers as well.

At 5:30 PM this evening, Stacie Marshall with Mountain Mama’s Farm will be in the Chattooga Farm Bureau Demonstration Kitchen with Appalachian specialty products. Then at 7 PM this evening, Chattooga County Extension Agent Rebecca Thomas will be demonstrating home canning and food preservation basics.

Fair-favorite Small Town Rumor will be on the Smith Iron Works Stage starting at 7 PM this evening with musical entertainment.

Under the Livestock Pavilion at 5:30 PM, 4H and FFA students will be taking part in the Jr. Market Lamb Show.

Don’t miss the second day of the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair going on at the fair grounds just off Highway 100 in Summerville.
