Another full day of events are on tap at the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair – including two livestock shows and multiple demonstrations at the Chattooga County Farm Bureau Demonstration Kitchen.
Over 80 4H and FFA students will be participating in the Jr Beef Show this afternoon under the pavilion at the fair. The Jr Beef Show gets underway at 1 PM. Then at 6:30 PM this evening, Chattooga County 4H and FFA Students will take part in the Poultry Show which will be followed by the poultry auction. Each student received 8 chicks earlier this year and have picked out their best-three to enter into tonight’s contest and auction. Those participating in the Poultry Auction should arrive early to get a bid number.
Inside the Ag Building today at the Farm Bureau Demonstration Kitchen, at 2:30 PM, Kathy Berry will be giving a demonstration on chair weaving. Then at 4 PM, the local Quilts of Valor team will be talking about making quilts and at 5:30 PM, Stephanie Yarborough with D&S Produce and Mercantile will be giving a demonstration on “Charcruterie Southern Style”.
