The Broomtown, Cedar Bluff and Gaylesville Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene of a possible chimney fire at a residence on County Road 91 in the Broomtown Community Friday morning, the homeowner said they were afraid the fire was getting into the roof of the structure.

That call went out at 7:15am, Alabama time on Friday morning, with firefighters arriving moments later, and according to reports they were able to contain the fire to the chimney-area, without it actually spreading to the attic or rooftop.
