Update On Lost Child:
Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader told WZQZ News at 3.45 PM that the search continues for a missing toddler in the Silver Hill Area.
Officials were accepting volunteers, but Sheriff Schrader says that they have taken all the volunteers needed at this time.
The sheriff added that there are numerous K-9 units and search and rescue teams at this time.
A toddler is missing in the Gore Community on Silver Hill Road. WZQZ News spoke with Chattooga County Chief Deputy Kevin Woods who said that search efforts are underway. The sheriff’s department received the call about the missing child shortly after noon today. Woods said that there are several agencies on the ground searching for a male child, under the age of two wearing a blue shirt. The chief deputy said that in addition to search efforts on the ground, the Georgia State Patrol aviation unit is in the area with a helicopter to aid in the search effort.
