Some Summerville City water customers had water flowing back into their homes on Friday, and for some there was still no water on Saturday.  But city officials are reminding residents they still need to boil their water before drinking or cooking with it.

Remember, bring water to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute before drinking, brushing your teeth, or cooking. Otherwise,  the water is safe for showering, cleaning, and doing laundry – as long as it’s not ingested.  Bottled water and potable water are still being made available at Summerville City Hall and other flood relief locations around the county.

Also, be sure to replace water filters inside your home once you have water pressure.

The City of Summerville posted this update on Saturday evening:

Customers in the following areas will continue to experience low water pressure or no water until the reservoirs are filled, which could take two to three days:

Residents North of Trucktown on Hwy 27

Rocky Hollow Rd and surrounding areas

Autumnwood Dr

Orchard Hill Rd

Orchard Rd

Buice Lane

Dickeyville area

Residents that have water, please continue to conserve water for the next few days.
