Weather forecasters are looking at the possibility for another winter storm hitting the South early next week. The Weather Channel says that while conditions have to be right for a major snow storm in the south with the temperature and moisture being in place at the same time, it does appear that possibility exists for next week.
Chris Dolse with The Weather Channel said, "The potential mess of snow, sleet and freezing rain will then slide eastward through the Lower-Mississippi Valley and into the Southeast on Monday. Interstate 20 is the general transition zone between rain and frozen precipitation. Snow will also extend northward into the Middle-Mississippi and Ohio Valleys." Forecasters say it is still too early to say exactly what kind of storm this will be, but residents of Northwest Georgia should continue to monitor the storm.
